We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Lecturer in French to join our curriculum team at Cadbury College on a permanent, part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and deliver high-quality teaching in a supportive and forward-thinking learning environment.

About the role

  • As a Lecturer in French, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons that enable students to develop their language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You will play a key role in supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes and progress to further study or employment.
  • You will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and continuous improvement, while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality French lessons across relevant programmes
  • Develop engaging teaching materials and resources
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback
  • Monitor and track student progress to support achievement
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement

Skills, knowledge and expertiseessential

  • Degree in French or a related subject
  • Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

Experience delivering high-quality teaching and learning at level 3

  • Strong subject knowledge and fluency in French
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding

Experience working in a further education setting

  • Knowledge of current curriculum and assessment practices
  • Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding
  • To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£31,837 - £48,160), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:

  • DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
  • Certificate in Education
  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • ProfGCE (Professional Graduate Certificate in Education)
  • DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
  • DiT (Diploma in Teaching) - if for a vocational subject
  • If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£26,661 - £29,998).
