English language teaching is not a role UK language schools generally sponsor: the Skilled Worker visa needs a licensed sponsor and a salary threshold that EFL pay usually sits below, so a job offer alone is not a route in.

When should I apply for summer school work?

February to April. Summer residential courses run June to August and the good posts are filled well before the season starts. Applying in May means competing for whatever is left.
