Centre and Veveří for the universities and most language schools. Královo Pole for student prices on the tram. Žabovřesky for quiet and families. Almost everywhere in Brno is fifteen minutes from almost everywhere else.
Cost of living
Roughly 13,000 to 22,000 CZK a month for a one-bedroom, well under Prague. The tech and engineering sector drives the corporate English demand here, which makes business English a larger share of the work than it is in Prague.

Salary: Language schools: 25,000 to 40,000 CZK per month. Freelance and corporate rates: 350 to 600 CZK per hour. Prague rent is the main expense; saving is modest, and most teachers come for the lifestyle.
Visa: EU and UK-settled citizens work freely. Non-EU teachers most often set up a zivno (zivnostensky list) trade license and work as freelancers, which is the standard route into the Prague market. A degree and CELTA/TEFL make you far more employable.
