Teach English in Guadalajara, Mexico

Guadalajara is Mexico's second-largest city with a stable ESL market. Pay tracks below CDMX but cost of living is significantly lower. Strong tech-sector growth has lifted business English demand.
Neighborhoods
Providencia and Chapalita for the established, quiet middle. Colonia Americana for the nightlife and the younger crowd. Zapopan for the tech corridor and most corporate work. Centro for the cheapest rent and the most local setting.
Cost of living
Roughly 6,000 to 14,000 MXN a month for a one-bedroom, meaningfully under Mexico City. The tech sector is the reason the corporate market exists here, and it concentrates in Zapopan rather than downtown.

Teachers prioritizing cost of living and a less overwhelming city than CDMX.
