Mexico City (CDMX) concentrates Mexico's corporate English and university ESL hiring. Polanco, Roma Norte, and Condesa are the most popular expat neighborhoods. The market is large enough that most teachers find roles after arriving.
Neighborhoods
Roma Norte and Condesa for the expat centre, cafés and the highest rent. Juárez for central at slightly less. Coyoacán and Del Valle for quiet and families. Polanco for corporate clients and the top of the market.
Cost of living
Roughly 8,000 to 20,000 MXN a month for a one-bedroom depending on neighbourhood. Corporate English pays better per hour than academies but is scattered across the city, and CDMX traffic makes an unplanned schedule expensive in time.

Teachers wanting a major Latin American capital with strong food, culture, and growing English demand.

Visa: Many teachers work informally on tourist visas, though this is technically not allowed. Legal employment uses the Temporary Resident visa with work permission, which the school sponsors.
